Cheapest Price Toshiba Laptop

Monday, March 29th, 2010

Choosing the cheapest laptop isn’t always the best. This is a list a things you should look for in a good deal

- Memory:

Memory or RAM is a component that stores the data being processed on your computer.Netbooks equipped only with 1GB of RAM, it is enough. For a computer “classic”, choose 2GB or more for comfortable use.
*
- Interface Connection:

USB ports (3 or more ideally) and mini jacks for headphones or speakers (optical if possible) are now essential. The presence of Ethernet jacks (RJ45 Network), e-SATA, FireWire, Express Card will depend on individual needs.

cheapest-price-toshiba-laptop

- GUI:

The least you can expect is the presence of a VGA connector for connecting an external monitor. Other more modern interfaces have also emerged: HDMI to connect a TV and, much rarer, the DisplayPort for connecting a monitor.
*
- Optical Drive:

Most computers have DVD burners. The Blu-ray to play HD movies are still a small minority. They settled gradually on high-end machines and media oriented.
*
- Battery:

From 1:20 to certain computers 18 inches to over 5 hours for netbooks, autonomy varies widely depending on models. If you plan to watch “Ben Hur” in the train, choose a model with a big battery, small components and a small diagonal display.
*
- Card Reader:

cheapest-price-toshiba-laptop-2

All or almost have them. The difference is the speed of transfer and formats. At a minimum, they must read SD and SDHC (high capacity). Everything else is a bonus. For photographers, some computers will accept CF. Look well, they exist.
*
- Fingerprint Reader:

Accessory for some, essential for others, the fingerprint reader invites itself to our computers. No more passwords, are your fingers that you identify.
*
- Weight:

The fateful barrier model is transportable and mobile phones certainly to 2 Kg 13-inch models are often able to cross this barrier or approach and the boundary between the mobile and transportable.

3 – Accessories
Speaker Kit

Audiophile, you will not have very long the speakers of your laptop. Even with the best configuration in 5.1 (6 speakers with 1 for low) does not satisfy the demanding music lover. The solution, connect a speaker set with external mini jack output of your machine.
Keyboard and Mouse

The laptops all have a keyboard and a touchpad which serves as a mouse. For occasional use, is sufficient. If you must work daily on your laptop, we recommend that you purchase a keyboard and mouse “classic” desktop. Plugged into USB on your machine, they provide user comfort and undeniable ability to get away from the screen of your computer.
High Capacity Batteries

Optional on some models, high-capacity batteries are available. To choose them, we must rely on their ability milliamp hours and voltage. The first times the second gives you a figure in watts / hour. Plus it is high, the longer the battery life. Attention to specify the number of cells. If it gives an indication of Independence (3 cell vs 6 cell for example), it does not give you the capacity of each cell and therefore the real autonomy of the battery.
TV Tuner

Rarely integrated natively on laptops, they may take the form of USB, or PCI Express Cards.Essential for watching TV on your computer unless you go through the channels broadcast on the Internet. To avoid travel to each channel change, make sure to take a model with remote control.

How Are Toshiba Laptops

We will be comparing toshiba to other brands.

Play – For the Gamer

Playing on a laptop amounts to solving an equation with two unknowns: screen definition and power adapter. Plus the screen is high definition (1920×1080 pixels 1280×800 pixels cons for example), plus the graphics card needs to be powerful. The CPU is important but not essential.A dual core (2 cores) is more than enough in this type of configuration. To this can add details such as the presence of 5.1 speakers if you do not like helmets. For gaming, the acquisition of a mouse is imperative.

Multimedia – Video and Audio

For multimedia use (advanced video editing, mixing music …) should not hesitate to move to a model with 4 cores. Many programs for amateurs or professionals are able to cut the work to be done in several streams. Streams that can be processed in parallel by different processor cores.Attention to have 4 cores instead of 2 does not necessarily divide the computing time by two.Nevertheless, the work is done much faster.

The real useful features

*
- Screen size:

Two factors should be taken into consideration for the screen, the diagonal and definition. The first varies from 7 to 22 inches and determines the size of your computer. The second runs from 1024 x 600 to 1920 x 1200 pixels and indicates the amount of information that the screen can display simultaneously.
*
- Processor

The processor is the brains of the computer. Choose a model consisting of 2 or more cores used for two things: use multiple applications in parallel and accelerate the computation time (since the software is able to use multiple cores in parallel).
*
- Chipset

The graphics chipset calculates the image displayed on your screen. Anecdotal for desktop use, this item makes sense in the 3D calculations. To play in good conditions, shun the entry level model and choose a mid / high end.
*
- Hard disk:

It is the memory of your computer. More hard drive capacity, the higher you can store photos, videos and files of all kinds. Ask at least 160 GB If this capacity is insufficient to run, do not throw your machine and are buying an external hard drive.

Other features for further

*
- Dalle brilliant slab mate:

The principle is exactly the same as for photo printing paper: matte or gloss. The current trend for consumer notebooks is the glossy panel. More aesthetic, they come with a big flaw: a mirror effect. The tiles are dull confined to the professional market and we advise you, if you can find to avoid glare.

Toshiba Laptop Batteries

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

Introduction

Over a relatively short period and in some cases, fitted Sony batteries Toshiba laptops caught fire. Following its investigation, the battery supplier has concluded that certain battery cells belonging to a particular batch may be affected by a particular problem may cause a security risk. According to the investigation of the supplier, this exchange program should be limited to the batch of batteries affected by this warning. Toshiba has decided to launch a new exchange program for batteries reported by the provider that include the elements produced in this specific batch.

Customers with Toshiba laptops contain batteries affected by the problem can exchange their batteries for free.

Toshiba Laptop Batteries

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

In order to spend you’re money wisely and choose the best Toshiba laptop battery for you, here is some info on this subject.
Choosing the brands of batteries, especially not to buy the cheap batteries imported directly from China, they can be extremely dangerous because they will suffer very little control of manufacture, or no! So beware, they can be very dangerous!

* Do not exceed the discharge current specified by the manufacturer of the battery (eg if marked 4400mAh so it will not pull more than 4.4 A for one hour) for fear of damaging it considerably. Clearly, it is recommended to use your battery to power other machines.
* A very important announcement above: never fall below 10% load. In general the OS whatsoever, directly puts the computer to sleep when it is more than 15% of remaining charge. You can really lose 20% capacity in one fell swoop, I personally lost 10% capacity of a sudden wanting to try …

200742614132147817

* Allow the battery to charge quietly without using it. Rest assured, when you recharge your battery power cord divides his power part is then to charge your battery, the other is used for the operation of your laptop, so your battery is not used for this time.
* Calibration: this operation is to “reframe” the full charge your battery. To do this, when the battery is discharged at the maximum (not below 10% but when the OS puts the laptop in standby) it needs recharging completely without interruption. It actually allows your battery to undergo a full discharge followed by a full charge, which maintains it. It is advisable to do this manipulation 1 to 2 times per month.

Another important point also is that it is unnecessary to remove the battery from the computer when not in use and the PC is connected to the mains, simply because all current laptops or the batteries themselves are equipped with electronic circuits that avoid using the battery when it is charged and the laptop is connected to the mains.
By cons are advised to unplug the power cord to a laptop when it is turned off to avoid any unnecessary burden micro-battery.

It seems that Sony flange charging batteries of their new laptops to 80% for the wear limit, so do not worry. It is normal if you can see on a Sony laptop.

Do not forget: a battery does not throw in the trash but recycled and wears even when not in use!

Battery For Toshiba Laptops

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

A battery has 2 key characteristics, the voltage expressed in Volts (V) and the amount of electricity expressed in Ampere-hour (Ah) or milliamp-hour (mAh).
The characteristic energy of a battery is calculated as follows: Voltage (V) x amount of electricity (Ah) = Energy (Wh)

Example: 19.5V x 4400mAh = 85.8 Wh

We can then speak of the capacity of energy instead of power.
What type of battery is used to make self a laptop?

ELTB028KO1

All batteries sold today with the original notebooks are made in Li-Ion, that is to say that it is a type of lithium batteries with the material (lithium) is the ionic state.
These batteries are expensive because lithium is an expensive material and their main advantage is the amount of energy that may have put it into a small volume.
Key Benefits

* No memory effect or effects very low memory (using principle prematurely battery that prevents it from charging to 100% due to poor maintenance of the battery).
* Excellent value amount of energy / volume due to the physical properties of lithium.
* Self-discharge (natural discharge when the battery is unused) negligible which allows not to worry about storage.
* Secure from the first lithium batteries (in the metallic state) through an electronic circuit integrated inside (in the plastic mold).

Main disadvantages

* Price, because of the complexity of manufacturing and material (lithium).
* Deterioration important when you discharge the battery below 10% (up to 20% of capacity lost in one fell swoop!).
* Charging current limited because of their internal technology and the dangers of lithium, so the burden may seem slow!
* Low resistance to high temperatures: it is advisable to use a temperature of 20-25 ° C, but must not exceed 40 ° C under penalty of really damaging. It should never reach high temperatures of around 75-80 ° C under penalty of explosion (not a joke!).
* Like all batteries they will wear out over time and nothing can reverse the process.

CAUTION:

The batteries of any kind (batteries, rechargeable batteries, lead acid batteries & lithium …) are highly polluting and should never be thrown in the garbage. They must be completely recycled (all hypermarkets, Bricomarché and rubbish bins have skimmers).
You should never try to repair a battery by opening it to burn or severely intoxicated.
Increase the lifespan of the battery of laptop
As mentioned previously, change the battery is a real investment of around one hundred euros in general, so there are some concepts to know and implement to extend the maximum duration of life.

toshiba_laptop_battery_pa3420u

These precautions are:

* First buy a battery when the first thing to look (after his power in W) is the date of manufacture: actually as announced earlier battery loses its capacity from its manufacture, so the date is more recent plus the battery capacity is close to that declared on the label.
